On June 7th, 2024, GREA8GAWD fans had roughly two hours to secure a copy of an exclusive project titled the “Power” Mixtape

Not available on DSPs or his official site, fans could only get their hands on this exclusive new project by attending his IG Live on June 7th. In the days leading up to the event, GRE8GAWD leaked a single off the project titled “JANNAH,” produced by California-based producer Mar$. The artist painted a visual story of his soul leaving his body, looking down at the physical world, surveying and recounting his life and environment. The song’s creativity sent Hip Hop fans into a frenzy, clamoring for the opportunity to hear the rest of the project.

On the night of the event, fans surged into GRE8GAWD’s Live feed as he played the mixtape in full and allowed fans the opportunity to purchase the Power project. It was a melee, with Cash App accounts and emails flying through the chat as everyone wanted to ensure they did not get missed and were able to get their order in to secure this timed exclusive.

For those lucky enough to get a copy, they received a highly polished piece of art with elite production, sequencing, and top-tier lyrics. The quotables and slaps are in abundance. You’d be hard-pressed to find a skippable track. If GRE8GAWD considers this a mixtape, fans are in for a huge treat when he finally releases his highly anticipated PIMPIRE-backed solo album.

Naming the mixtape “Power” couldn’t have been more appropriate, as GREA8GAWD illustrated the power direct-to-consumer sales have over all DSPs.
